What are you doing?

My Fern, go back to bed.

You are not gonna kill it, are you?

It's a runt. now go back to bed.

No, it’s not fair. It can’t help been born small. if I’ve been born small, you kill me.

Of cause not. a little girl is one thing, a runty pig is another.

There is no difference. It’s unfair and unjust.

Oprah:That was a scene from in theaters in December 15th. It’s packed full of stars, including my friend Julie, who plays charlotte, the spider. And I play Gussy the goose. And the delightful Dakota Fanning plays Fern. As just 12 years old, she started more films than the number of years she’s been alive.

Take a look.

Born in Conyers, Georgia, Dakota saw sth special about their daughter early on. Little Dakota learned to read at the age of two. And entered First grade when she was only 4. as a prescholler Dakota joined into local play-house. And just one year later, landed in national Tide commercial. But Dakota’s big break came, when she was a seven years old. And won the role of Lucy, opposite Sean Penn in I am Sam.

Audience fell in love with her instantly. That year she became the toast instant time when she was nominated for best supporting actress the Screen Actors Guild Awards, making her the youngest ever to receive that honor.

Her films have grossed over half a billion dollars. And Entertainment Weekly even say she maybe one of the most powerful actresses in hollywood.

Please welcome Dakota Fanning.

Oprah:Oh,good to see you. Good to see you again. Have a seat. Good to see you.

Good to see you. Thank you for having me here.

Lovely. What was it like for you playing with all the animals. cause you’ve done everything. Yes! Yes.

Dakota: Well, I mean. Just getting to play Fern is unbelievable, you know. and Charlotte’s Web is incredible.

Oprah:Have you always loved the book?

Dakota:I have. I mean, charlotte’s web. it was one of my mother’s favorite book. And Fern was her favorite character. So to get to,you know, play her favorite character. And you know, in last film scene I had a yellow dress and red ribbons. And my mum was crying when she saw it on me. She had read so many times and seen that in there and to have me in the actual dress was really special.

Oprah:I’m moved by that too. How do you stay focus working with all the different pigs? cause is it easy working with the pig?

Dakota:There were so many. There was like 50 to 60 pigs. Because we would get them when they were like a few weeks old. And then they will get bigger. So then you had to get new little ones. So we were always getting new little pigs and they are growing up and getting too big and then we have to find good homes for them or everything.

Oprah:Who’s the voice of the pig, do you know that?

Dakota:A young boy named Dominic. he’s so great.

Oprah:Yes, I thought he did a great job.

Dakota:He’s I think he’s around my age.

Oprah:That’s Dominic. He’s around your age. Now you have been making movies a long time. First of all, again, I Am Sam is one of my favorite movies. Because you are so fantastic with Sean Penn.

You were so… I don’t know if you… Did you see I Am Sam ?have you ever seen it?

Julia:Yeah, a man on fire. That’s my favorite-----

Oprah: That I didn’t see man on fire. But I fall in love with you. Was it your first movie I am Sam?

Dakota:It was my first feature film. I have done commercials and TV shows before that.

Oprah:How old were you when you did that?

Dakota:I was 6 and I turned 7.

Oprah:You were 6 and turned 7. so what do you do with all the money and all the loot.

Dakota:Nothing

Oprah:Do you have any investment plan?

Dakota:No, I have none of that. They don’t have..

Oprah:Do you get an allowance?

Dakota:No, I never got an allowance. My parents never got allowance when they were younger. So I never got, and I never really wanted one.

Oprah:OK, never wanted one. What if you just want to buy sth like..and need sth. You just ask mum, or do you…

Dakota:yeah, she doesn’t really buy any more than any normal mothers would do. I just..she always..she save things for Christmas.

Oprah:So is Christmas big in your house?

Dakota:We love Christmas.

Casting crew, into the worst storm to hit Melbourne Australia in 156 years, flooding on the sand , force production to shut down for days.

To make matters worse, unusually cold air striped all of the trees on the set, so who's had to attach thousands of delicate clean silk leaves by hand.

Because of the long days of shooting, the real people on the Ferris wheel had to be replaced with blown up dolls, and the animals would entirely different piece.

They had to be primped, charmed and cuddled and kinda, the geese despised the other animals and kept biting the poor cows and sheep, so all their scenes had to be shot separately, sometimes with standing puppies.
